My name is Xuenan Xu /Shooe-nan Shoo/. I'm a User Experience Designer and freelance photographer.
My career as a user experience designer started from my pursuit of the Master's Degreen in User Experience Design and Research at the University of Michigan in 2017. During my second year of study, I also worked as a part-time UX Design Intern at the Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) of University of Michigan, which is a department designs and develops educational tools to enhance the learning and teaching experience of the entire U of M community and beyond. After graduation in May, 2019, with the passion of continue designing to bring impacts into educational area, I accepted the offer from my office and started my full-time role as a User Experience Designer.
While working at CAI, I not only applied the methods and skills of UX design and research that I obtained from school, but also expanded my skill sets into graphic design, branding and frontend implementation, which prepared me to be a UX designer who is capable of adapting to different stages of different projects and collaborating with various roles in a cross-functionality team.
Outside of work, I spend most of my spare time with my 3-year-old tabby cat. Something special about him is that he takes walks with me outside everyday like a puppy. He also likes to show his belly to humans, even for the first time they meet.
